Who was Mukhta Ansari?

Mukhtar Ansari was born on 30 June 1963 in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.Mukhtar Ansari belongs to a prominent Sunni Muslim family of Ghazipur. He was born to Subhanullah Ansari (father) and Begum Rabia (mother).His mother passed away in December 2018. His grandfather, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari, was an Indian freedom fighter and former president of the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League. He has two elder brothers, Sibakatullah Ansari who was a Bahujan Samaj Party MLA from Mohammadabad constituency, and Afzal Ansari who is a Lok Sabha member from Ghazipur.

Mukhtar Ansari is a gangster-turned-politician from Uttar Pradesh. Maintaining a record of being elected five times, Mukhtar Ansari is currently serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly from Mau constituency. Moreover, Mukhtar was also investigated as the main accused in the murder of BJP leader Krishnanand Rai.

Mukhtar was in Banda Jail more than 2 Years

Mafia kingpin Mukhtar Ansari, who was lodged in Banda jail for nearly two-and-a-half years, died of a heart attack late on Thursday night. Mukhtar was brought to the medical college from the divisional jail for treatment about three hours before his death. A team of nine doctors is treating him. Around 10.30 pm, the administration made public the information about Mukhtar's death. Till then, no member of Mukhtar's family had reached the medical college.

At around 6.30 pm on Thursday, Mukhtar's health deteriorated in jail. After this, the officials of the administration reached the place of death and around eight o'clock he was brought to the medical college. where he was treated for two hours. He was shifted from ICU to CCU. He died at about eight o'clock in the evening.

It is noteworthy that Mukhtar has been admitted to the ICU of the medical college after his health deteriorated on Monday night. The doctors sent Mukhtar to jail after 14 hours of treatment, citing complaints of constipation and urine infection.

Recent Days of Mukhtar's Life

On March 24, three people, including two deputy jailors of the jail, were suspended for negligence on the instructions of the government.

At 3 o'clock in the late night of March 25, Mukhtar suddenly felt pain in his stomach.

At 5.30 am on March 26, she was taken to the medical college in an ambulance.

At 6.30 pm on March 26, Mukhtar was sent back to the divisional jail from the medical college.

On March 27, the family filed a petition in the MP-MLA court alleging conspiracy in the murder.

On the evening of March 27, the Banda MP-MLA court sought a report from the jail administration on Mukhtar's health.

On March 28, around 2.30 pm, Mukhtar again complained of uneasiness. A team of doctors examined him at around 3.30 pm.

On March 28, at 5 pm, ADM Rajesh Kumar reached the jail and informed the authorities about Mukhtar.

On March 28, late evening at 7.30 pm, the DM and SP also reached the jail along with the convoy.

At 8.15 pm, an ambulance was called and Mukhtar was sent to the medical college in an unconscious state.

At 8.30 pm, Mukhtar's treatment was started in the ICU at the medical college.
