The goal of Viksit Bharat at 2047 is for India to become a developed country by 2047, the country's 100th year of independence. Aspects of development such as social advancement, environmental sustainability, economic growth, and good governance are all included in the vision.
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a virtual speech to vice chancellors and heads of other higher education institutions across the country in addition to launching "Viksit Bharat 2047 - Voice of Youth."
The event was physically attended by over 1000 students, vice chancellors, and heads of about 61 Assamese higher education institutions. It was sponsored by Assam governor Gulab Chand Kataria at IIT Guwahati. Approximately 600 colleges and 45 higher education institutions took part in the virtual mode.
Speaking to the students and academicians, the governor stated that in order to meet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's goal, we all must work together. The prime minister's goal is to see our country developed by 2047. He said that in order to give our pupils a higher-quality education, the State and the Federal governments have increased their budgetary allocation for education. Governor Kataria continued, "Education can help us achieve our goals of becoming a developed nation by 2047."
Following the Prime Minister's virtual speech, a panel discussion on the subject of "Contribution of NEP 2020 towards the transformation of Higher Education and realization of the dream of Viksit Bharat 2047 & How to engage the youth in contribution towards Viksit Bharat in 2047" was held as part of a program specifically for the state of Assam.
According to the Prime minister's vision, the country's youth are to be actively involved in the creation of national plans, priorities, and objectives. The "Viksit Bharat at 2047: Voice of Youth" program would give young people a forum to share their opinions. The seminars will be a crucial first step in getting young people involved in sharing their thoughts and recommendations for Viksit Bharat at 2047.
The goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, is to transform India into a developed country by 2047, the country's centennial of independence. The vision covers a wide range of development-related topics, such as social advancement, environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and good governance.

He recalled the time when the nation's consciousness was aided during India's great struggle for freedom by universities like Kashi, Lucknow, Vishwa Bharti, Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Nagpur University, Annamalai, Andhra, and the University of Kerala. He said, "Every institution and every person should move forward today with the resolve that every action and effort will be for Viksit Bharat. There should only be one resolution or goal in mind: "Developed India."

The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of focusing university students' energies toward realizing "Viksit Bharat," the shared objective. The Prime Minister announced the opening of the Ideas Portal for Viksit Bharat, said recommendations can be made on five different themes, and said the top ten concepts will get rewards.
The prime minister cited the courageous struggle for independence as an inspiration. He claimed that every effort made at the period, including the Satyagrah, the revolutionary road, non-cooperation, Swadeshi, and social and educational changes, was directed toward achieving liberation. Universities like Nagpur University, Annamalai, Andhra, Vishwa Bharti, Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Kashi, Lucknow, and University of Kerala strengthened national consciousness at this time. A whole generation of young people committed to the country's freedom emerged, focusing all of their energy on achieving independence. "Every institution and every person should act today with the resolve that all they do will benefit Viksit Bharat. There should only be one resolution or goal in mind: "Developed India."
The Prime Minister emphasized connecting all the streams in order to create a developed India, pointing out the diversity of thoughts. Everyone was urged by Shri Modi to go above and beyond in order to support Viksit Bharat at 2047. He recommended launching unique initiatives in all of the nation's colleges and universities in order to engage an increasing number of young people in this cause. The Prime Minister announced the opening of the Viksit Bharat Ideas Portal and stated that recommendations could be made on five distinct themes. Additionally, a prize has been planned for the top ten submissions. Additionally, you can submit comments on MyGov, he said.
"Idea starts with a 'I,' just as India begins with a 'I,'" the prime minister said, emphasizing that progress that an idea can only start with the individual.
The Prime Minister elaborated on the notion of seeking suggestions and emphasized the significance of bringing up an Amrit generation that puts the nation's interests first. He called on people to be conscious of their civic responsibilities and the interests of the nation, emphasizing the need to go beyond ability and education. "The country progresses when its people start fulfilling their duties, no matter what their status," said the prime minister. He gave examples of how to protect the environment, such using public transportation, using less electricity, conserving water, and using fewer chemicals in farming. In order to get their thoughts on how to revive Swachhta Abhiyan, address lifestyle issues, and encourage youth to get away from their cell phones, he summoned members of the educationist fraternity.
He requested that they serve as examples for the students. He invited the audience to consider the idea that degree holders had to possess at least one practical talent and stated that social thinking is mirrored in governance as well. He went on, "A thorough process of brainstorming on these topics should be carried out at every cap, every institution, and at the state level."
The Prime Minister compared the era of "Viksit Bharat" development to that of an exam, highlighting the students' self-assurance, readiness, and commitment as well as the roles played by families in upholding the necessary discipline to achieve the objective. He said that, as citizens of the nation, the exam date has also been announced. There are twenty-five years of Amrit Kaal ahead of us.
In order to achieve Viksit Bharat, we have to work 24 hours a day. The Prime Minister underlined, "This is the atmosphere we have to establish as a family.
Shri Modi stated that India will dominate the world in the number of people in working age for the next 25 to 30 years, noting that the country's youth are the driving force behind its fast growing population. PM Modi stated, "Youth power is both the agent of change and the beneficiaries of change." He underlined that the youth's careers in today's colleges and universities will be determined by events that unfold over the next twenty-five years. The Prime Minister stated that the youth have the right to determine what constitutes a developed India, given that they are the ones who will establish new families and a new society in the future.
The Prime Minister went on to say that the administration hopes to instill this enthusiasm in all young people nationwide by connecting them to the action plan of a developed India. The role of educational institutions that maintain maximum interaction with the youth was underscored by the Prime Minister, who also stressed the need of shaping the voice of the nation's youth into the policy approach for building a developed India.
The Prime Minister emphasized in closing that the country, not the administration, will choose the country's path forward. "Every citizen of the country will have input and active participation in it," stated Prime Minister Modi, emphasizing that the Sabka Prayas mantra—public engagement—can carry out even the most ambitious resolutions. He highlighted the power of Sabka Prayas with examples from the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Digital India Campaign, resilience during the Corona pandemic, and Vocal for Local.
"Only through Sabka Prayas Viksit Bharat can be built," declared the Prime Minister. Reiterating his high hopes for the scholars in attendance, Shri Modi said that they are the ones who mold the nation's development vision and direct the energy of the youth. The Prime Minister declared, "This is a great campaign to write the future of the country" and asked people to submit their ideas for enhancing Viksit Bharat's grandeur.
