According to media reports, a technical issue related to a US-based cybersecurity firm called Crowdstrike caused a glitch in laptops working on Microsoft around the world on Friday.
Employees of companies and government agencies faced difficulties due to the global outage. When people restarted the laptop, an error message started appearing on the blue screen. The outage has also affected telecom provider companies, media websites.
CrowdStrike has updated a software, CrowdStrike Falcon, which is believed to be the cause of the global outage. Australia's National Security Coordinator said on social media that it was caused by a technical issue with a third-party software platform.
CrowdStrike Falcon is the first and only software to bring together a next-generation antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR) and 24/7 threat hunting service. All this is done with the help of a light agent. According to Japanese media, representatives of Microsoft Japan and CrowdStrike Japan said that the computer connected to the CrowdStrike anti-virus software has been found to be malfunctioning.

Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Admins may experience problems using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Even if someone runs it, many actions will not work.
Microsoft Preview: Users will see a delay in the events being processed in Microsoft Purview.
