When Jayant Nahata was in the fourth year of BTech, he had started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
In his first attempt in 2018, Jayant had cleared the prelims and mains, but he failed in the interview.
In 2019, he cleared the exam with 298th rank and was selected in the Indian Civil Accounts Service.
He wanted to be an IAS officer. So he took the exam again in 2020 and got the 56th rank and became IAS in the third attempt.
In an interview, he said that NCERT books and current affairs should be prepared for the preliminary examination.
He is a resident of Kolkata, but his family has shifted to Delhi. He completed his education from Delhi.
