The big thing was that Shadab Khan was not made to bowl. Shadab was given a chance as a batsman and he got out after scoring 7 runs. New Zealand batted well in Lahore. They added 178 runs in 20 overs. Opener Tim Robinson scored with 51 off 36 balls. Tom Blundell scored with 28 off 15 balls and Foxcroft scored 34 runs. Captain Bracewell contributed 27 runs. For Pakistan, Abbas Afridi took 3 wickets on spent 20 runs.
