The match was played in Dallas, in which the Pakistani team scored 159 runs in 20 overs batting first, after which the American team also scored 159 runs in 20 overs chasing the target, due to which the match went to Super Over, where the USA team managed to beat Pakistan by 5 runs and registered their second victory in this T20 World Cup.
While Pakistan opted to bowl first, the USA opted to bowl first in the Super Over. In the first ball of this over, Aaron Jones made a great start by hitting a boundary, while the second and third ball scored a total of 3 runs. With the fourth ball of the over being wide, a total of 2 runs came in it and then one more run came on the fourth ball and USA's score reached 10 runs. 2 runs came with the 5th ball going wide again and then Jones scored 2 runs on the 5th legal delivery.
Amir again bowled a wide next ball, on which a total of 3 runs came, this brought the score of the American team to 17 runs without any loss, while with one run coming on the last ball of the over, the American team gave a total of 19 runs to Pakistan for victory.
Chasing a target of 19 runs, Pakistan sent Fakhar Zaman and Iftikhar Ahmed to bat in the Super Over. Saurabh Netravalkar has been given the responsibility of bowling for the USA. On the first ball of this over, there was no run, Iftikhar hit a boundary on the second ball, while the next ball went wide and Pakistan's score reached 5 runs. On the third ball, Iftikhar was caught at long-off while trying to play a big shot.

In the last 3 balls, Pakistan needed a total of 14 runs, in which the next ball went wide, while Shadab Khan hit a boundary on the fourth ball. Now Pakistan needed 9 runs in 2 balls, in which he scored 2 runs on the 5th ball, in the last ball Pak had to score 7 runs to win but could only score 1 run and Pakistan lost this match by 5 runs.
