The show also showcases the made-in-India Innova Hycross, but the model showcased at the event gets a flex-fuel powertrain. It comes with a 2.0 -litre Atkinson Cycle petrol engine paired with an electric motor, similar to the standard Innova Hycross Hybrid. It is capable of delivering the same performance as the standard model even with ethanol-blended petrol. According to Toyota, this powertrain emits extremely low hydrocarbons. Toyota says the prototype is BS6 Stage 2 compliant, and can run on petrol with an ethanol blend of 20 per cent or more.
