SSC GD Constable 2023: Selection Process

The selection process for the post of SSC GD Constable involves three stages:

• Computer Based Examination (CBE)
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST)
• Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Computer Based Examination (CBE)

The Computer Based Examination will be objective type. A total of 80 questions will be asked; and each question will carry 2 marks. However, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer. The CBE consists of 4 parts:

Part A: The questions would be asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning. A total of 20q questions will be asked from this section with a maximum of 40 marks.

Part B: The questions would be asked from General Knowledge and General Awareness. This section will have a total of 20 questions with a maximum of 40 marks.

Part C: The questions would be asked from Elementary Mathematics. A total of 20 questions will be asked with a maximum of 40 marks.

Part D: The questions would be asked from English / Hindi. A total of 20 questions will be asked with a maximum of 40 marks.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST)

Applicants will be selected for the next round based on their performance in the Computer Based Examination (CBE). The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at different locations determined by the CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces).
