Schezwan Chutney Recipe

It directly doubles the taste of any food. Shezwan chutney is used in many types of dishes. From chicken fry, chow mein to momos, schezwan chutney doubles the flavour It tastes so good that you can eat it with parathas and pakoras.

Schezwan Chutney Recipe is prepared with dried red chillies, roasted onions and garlic. Although this chutney is very easily available in the market, but if you make it fresh at home and use it, then its taste will be more tangy and spicy. Milshazwan chutney can be made at home very easily using these steps:

Dry Kashmiri red chillies are used to make the Schezwan chutney not too pungent Kashmiri red chillies are slightly less pungent in taste than other red chillies. You can use red chillies according to your taste. It will take a total 30 minutes to prepare Schezwan Chutney at home.

Schezwan Chutney Recipe

These are the Ingredients: 15 to 18 dried red chillies, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 15 garlic cloves finely chopped, 1 inch piece ginger finely chopped, 1 spoon soya sauce, 2 spoon vinegar, 3 spoon tomato sauce, 1 spoon oil, 1 spoon sugar and salt ass per the taste. You can reduce and increase this mixture according to the needs.

Taking 15 to 20 dried red chillies break their stalks and separate them and cut two pieces from between them now take out all their seeds and throw them. Let the dried red chillies dissolve in lukewarm water for about 30 minutes. After that, remove the peppers from the water and remove the excess water. Now put all the red chillies in a small jar and make a soft paste.

Schezwan Chutney Recipe

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Once cooked, add the red chilli paste into it.

After adding the chilli paste, let it all cook on medium flame for about 3 minutes, now add two teaspoons of soy sauce, one teaspoon of dark soy sauce or light soy sauce, one teaspoon of vinegar, one teaspoon of black pepper powder, one teaspoon of sugar and salt to taste.

Now you will see the oil in the Pan will start separating then turn off the gas now let it cool down. Schezwan Chutney Recipe is ready to be made; you can fill it in any box after it is cold and store it in the fridge for 2 to 3 weeks. You can also use this sauce to make Schezwan rice and noodles.

  • While making Schezwan Chutney Recipe, if you don't have vinegar, you can use lemon instead.
  • We removed the chilli seeds to make the Schezwan chutney less pungent if you like the savoury sauce more tangy, doesn’t remove the seeds.
  • If you like the Schezwan chutney more sour or sweet, you can add more vinegar or sugar as required.
  • If you want to store it for a longer time, use more oil to give it a long life.
