Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has picked his favourite team for the T20 World Cup 2024, in which he has not given place to Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube.

Sanjay Manjrekar's T20 World Cup Squad: The Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024 is likely to be announced soon. Before that, former players of the Indian cricket team are choosing their favorite team. On Thursday, cricket commentator and former Indian player Sanjay Manjrekar picked his 15-member squad, in which he has not only given place to Virat Kohli. Kohli is currently the highest run-scorer in the IPL. He has scored the most runs this season.
Manjrekar kept Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal in his team for opening. After the first wicket fell, KL Rahul will come and Suryakumar Yadav has been selected at number four, while Ravindra Jadeja and Krunal Pandya have been added to the team in place of all-rounder. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson will be the wicketkeepers in the team, but Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will be the two spinners.
Manjrekar has included 5 fast bowlers in his team. The list includes Jasprit Bumrah, Avesh Khan, Mohammad Siraj, Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana. Pitch of USA and West Indies will be helpful for fast bowlers. India had lost in the semifinals of the previous edition of the tournament. None of the Indian bowlers could pick up a wicket in the last four overs.

Sanjay Manjrekar's favourite team for T20 World Cup 2024 is Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Avesh Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana.
Perhaps no pundit can imagine an Indian World Cup team without Virat, but in Manjrekar's policy, Virat does not fit in the team. And while they have included three wicketkeepers in Pant, Samson and KL Rahul, not including Virat Kohli comes as a huge surprise.
