RR vs RCB: Jos Buttler completed his Century with a six and Gave Victory to RR

Rajasthan Royals continued their good form in IPL 2024 by registering their fourth consecutive win. Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in Jaipur. Virat Kohli scored the first century of this season's IPL. In fact, by scoring the century in that match, Kohli with this century help RCB to score 183 on the other hand, Buttler scored the sixth century of his career in just 58 balls. Butler also completed the team's victory with a century by hitting a six.

After losing the last 2 matches, the Bangalore batting, which came into this match with the hope of winning, once again disappointed. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis added 125 runs for the opening wicket. Although both of them had a fast start, but in the middle overs, there was a break on the runs against the spinners, due to which they could not increase the speed. Kohli reached his half-century off 39 balls.

Kohli had dropped Buttler’s Catch

His opening partner Jos Buttler (100 not out) had also failed so far this season but just as Bengaluru gave Sunil Narine a chance to return to form against Kolkata, so did Buttler. Bad bowling coupled with poor fielding made the job easier. Kohli had dropped a catch off Buttler early in the innings. After this, Buttler and Samson thrashed the Bangalore bowlers.

On a pitch where the Bangalore batsmen, including Kohli, were struggling, Buttler-Samson kept scoring runs with ease. Buttler reached his half-century off 30 balls while Samson reached his half-century off 33 balls. Obviously, there is a big difference in the quality of bowling of both the teams but in fielding, Bengaluru disappointed more. From over-throwing runs to giving up run-out chances, Bengaluru made Rajasthan's job easy. The partnership of 148 runs in just 86 balls between the two, which took the match away from RCB.

Jos Buttler Century Snatched win

Finally, in the first ball of the 20th over, Buttler not only completed a brilliant century, but also gave the team a fourth consecutive victory, taking the number one position in the points table Coming close to victory.  Rajasthan lost the wickets of Samson (69), Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel but Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer did not let anything go wrong. Now, it seems to the path of playoffs for RCB became difficult.

Kohli's century went in vain!
