RCB vs KKR: Harshit Rana's flying-kiss send-off to Mayank Agarwal in Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL 2024 opener against Sunrises Hyderabad at Eden Gardens received criticism from fans and analysts on social media and the press. After deflecting Rana's delivery to the off side, Kohli pushed for a single in the second over. The former RCB captain spoke to the smiling bowler during the run before patting his back. Harshit had smile on face.
Two deliveries later, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis scooped the right-arm fast bowler's length delivery for a boundary. Rana's slower ball dismissed Du Plessis in the next ball, giving him the last laugh. RCB opener tried to scoop it to fine-leg fence but the ball goes in the hand of fielder at short fine.

Harshit defended 13 runs in the last over to snatch victory from the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
