The WagonR has been one of the longest-running models for Maruti Suzuki. It has received timely updates with a new engine tecnology, advanced safety features and a modern look. We recently saw a test model of the WagonR, it indicates that the brand is looking to give this hatchback a mid-cycle update again.
Spy shots of the prototype reveal the new rear bumper design. It features horizontal plastic cladding on the bumper, while the reflectors are mounted vertically on either side. Also, the tail lamp housing looks similar to the current model despite the mildly updated black-out treatment.
First of all, let us tell you that so far Maruti Suzuki has not given any information about the WagonR facelift India launch, so it cannot be said for sure when this hatchback will be launched. According to all the information that is coming out at the moment, many changes can be seen in the front and rear look of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR facelift, which will greatly increase its sportiness.
Currently, the hatchback is offered with 1.0 -litre petrol and 1.2 -litre petrol engines. The first one can be offered with a CNG option, while the petrol variant is offered with a manual and AMT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki had also showcased the flex-fuel-powered WagonR at the Auto Expo earlier this year, which could hit Indian roads by 2024.
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR facelift is expected to be powered by the same 1.2 -litre Z-Series 3 Series naturally aspirated petrol engine. This hatchback will also be available in CNG option and will get better mileage in range of 25 kmpl to 32 kmpl. Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new WagonR facelift soon.

Report suggests that, the starting price can be Rs. 5.54 lakhs to 7.30 Lakhs for Suzuki WagonR facelift. However, actual price can be confirmed once the company launched the latest version. Maruti Suzuki WagonR competes with the Hynduai i10, Hyundai Exter and Tata Tiago in the Indian market.
