Kia Sonet New Variants THE(O) and HTK(O): The company launched the face lifted version of the Sonet on January 12 this year in 2024. The new variants are based on the HTE and HTK variants. KIA India has launched four new variants of its popular sub-4 metre SUV Sonet. The new Sonet comes with both petrol and diesel engine options.
Sonet New Variants THE(O) and HTK(O:The interior cabin updates include new climate control panel and ventilated seats and new seat upholstery. Some cosmetic changes have been made in the design of the updated Kia Sonet. This includes a new grille, updated LED DRLs, connected LED taillamps and new alloy wheels.
The starting price of the new Sonet variant is Rs 8.19 lakh. The new Sonet is now equipped with more than 25 safety features such as a 360-degree camera, digital driver display and advanced driving assistance technology (ADAS).
Kia Sonet's Engine Details
The new Sonet will retain the existing model's multiple engines and transmissions. The 1.2 -litre petrol engine produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque and comes mated to either a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Reagrding the Kia Sonet mileage, the petrol engine returns a mileage of 18.83 km / l, while the diesel engine returns 22.3 km / l.
There are 6 airbags as standard across all variants. The new Sonet facelift comes with 17 autonomous Level-2 features, similar to the Seltos. Safety features on the new Sonet include electronic brake distribution, emergency stop signal, brake assist, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control (HAC), vehicle stability management (VSM) and antilock brake system (ABS).
