PrimeNewsly Vande Bharat: To make the journey easier for the railway passengers, the Railways is going to run the Vande Bharat Express on these routes of Uttar Pradesh. The proposal to run Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat till Prayagraj has got the green signal from the Board, now work on this route will be started soon.
After the board's approval of the proposal to run Vande Bharat till Prayagraj via Gorakhpur-Lucknow, the exercise of running another Vande Bharat from the short distance route to Prayagraj has started.
The department has started working on the proposal. It is expected that the second Vande Bharat will go to Varanasi via Gorakhpur-Deoria-Mau and from there to Prayagraj. To running Vande Bharat on this route, the public demand for running Vande Bharat till Varanasi will also be fulfilled. Along with this, passengers of Deoria, Mau, Aurihar will also get a new railway service.
The proposal to run Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat up to Prayagraj can be launched any day within a week after getting the green signal from the board. Once the board will give green signal from, the railway administration has intensified preparations for the operation of the train. The process of increasing the speed capacity of the track is underway. A date and time has been decided for the route.
Preparations are also underway in the North Central Railway for the inauguration ceremony in Prayagraj. It is expected that the new railway service will be launched from Prayagraj. Earlier, the North Eastern Railway had proposed to run the train from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj via Ayodhya and Lucknow. The proposal will be sent to the Cabinet for approval soon.

The eight-coach Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 7 from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. Since then, the train has been running on all days except Sundays.

There are three trains from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj. Dadar in the morning, Durg in the afternoon and Chauri-Chaura Express in the night go up to Prayagraj. All three trains are normally packed from the passengers.
