Bank Holidays in March 2024: The month of February is coming to an end and the month of March is approaching. We had informed you about the Bank Holiday in February 2024. Banks will not work for a total of 14 days in March 2024. This includes the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. This includes Sundays, public holidays and some regional holidays. Now we are telling you on which days the banks will be closed in the in March 2024.
Holi is celebrated in the month of March. There will be a public holiday on the occasion of Holi on March 25 across the country. Let us tell you that in all the states across the country, holidays fall on different occasions and banks remain closed according to the local festival.
According to RBI guidelines, banks will remain closed on all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays in March. Apart from this, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also announced bank holidays on 1, 8, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 29 March. Let us tell you that there are 5 Sundays in March i.e. 3,10,17, 24 and 31 March will be a regular holiday in banks.
It is to be noted that even though physical bank branches will remain closed on holidays. But you can do your important work through online banking, mobile banking. Net banking will continue to function as before.
Banks to remain closed in Mizoram on account of Chapchur Kut on 1st March and throughout the country on account of Sunday weekly holiday on 3rd March.
All banks to remain closed on account of Maha Shivaratri / Shivaratri holiday on 8th March and 2nd Saturday on 9th March
Banks across the country will be closed on March 10 due to Sunday, March 12 is a restricted holiday due to the beginning of Ramadan
There will be a bank holiday across the India on March 17 as it is a Sunday.
Banks will remain closed in Patna on March 22 on account of Bihar Diwas and in many states on March 23 on account of Shaheedi Diwas of Bhagat Singh
Banks across the country will remain closed on March 24 on account of Holika Dahan and on March 25 on account of Holi / Dol Yatra.
On March 29, banks will remain closed on account of Good Friday, March 30 being the fourth or last Saturday of the month, banks will not work across the country
