FASTag KYC Update: Update KYC before Its Get Deactivated, How To Update? Why It Should Update?

The last chance for car owners is if you have not updated or completed your FASTag KYC, the bank will deactivate or blacklist your FASTag. Let us tell you that the last date is today i.e. 31 January. FASTag will be deactivated

In fact, the government has made it mandatory to update KYC for FASTag stickers, for which the government had set a deadline of January 31, after which all FASTags without KYC will be deactivated. That is, money will not be deducted from FASTag and you will have to pay double toll tax. Therefore, if you want to avoid the fine, then do KYC of your FASTag immediately. You can update KYC both offline and online.

How to update KYC

To do FASTag KYC online, you have to go to fastag.ihmcl.com. Here you have to login using your mobile number. After logging in, you will see the option of KYC update, in which you will have to upload PAN or Aadhaar card. To update offline, you need to go to the bank that has the FASTag. Here you will be given a form, after which your KYC will be updated. After the update, you will receive a notification on your phone.

With the KYC update, the second FASTag will stop working for those who are using more than one FASTag. Therefore, if you have also made more than one FASTag and the balance is available in all of them, then surrender it immediately.

One Vehicle, One FASTag Program

The government had launched the One Vehicle, One FASTag program so that there is trust and transparency in the electronic toll system of the government as well as the people.

The NHAI has already raised concerns on the subject that there are often cases where multiple FASTags are issued for a single vehicle.

NHAI has asked FASTag users to complete the KYC process of their latest FASTag by January 31 this year as per RBI guidelines. If they do not do so, the old FAST accounts will be deactivated or blacklisted.
