The route of Dwarka Expressway: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dedicated the Dwarka Expressway to the nation. The government has made all the preparations. For this, a grand opening ceremony has been organized at the Sector-84 ground adjacent to the Dwarka Expressway.
Gurugram, the land of Guru Drona, is all set to welcome the Prime Minister. Before the inauguration ceremony on March 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take the salute of the people of the region by holding a roadshow on Basai Road. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh will be present on the occasion. 36 sectors have been created at the venue of the inauguration ceremony. In addition, there are eight parking spaces.
The expressway is divided into four sections. The first part connects the Shiva statue near Mahipalpur to Dwarka. The second connects Dwarka Urban Extension Road (UER) to Bajghera. The third part is from Bajghera to Basai rail overbridge (Delhi-Haryana border). The fourth part is from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. This includes a cloverleaf interchange on the part of the highway falling in Gurugram, it will connect the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway (NH-48) and the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) near Kherki Daula.
Dwarka Expressway to be built at a cost of Rs 9,000 crore
The Dwarka Expressway, which is being built at a cost of about nine thousand crore rupees, will get a gift. Of the total 29.5 -km expressway, 19 km passes through Gurugram. NHAI officials are engaged in the improvement and beautification work to finalise it. According to sources, in the election mode, the government will dedicate to the public a 19-km stretch of the Dwarka Expressway falling in the Gurugram area before the code of conduct. The work on the nine-km patch in Delhi is likely to be completed by June.
The India's first 8-lane elevated expressway is being built at a cost of about Rs 9000 crore. It also has an eight-lane 34-metre wide elevated road on a single pillar of 9 km length, which is the first of its kind in the country. In Haryana, the expressway will come up near Harsaru on Pataudi Road (SH-26) and Basai on Farrukhnagar (SH-15A).
It will also cross the Delhi-Rewari railway line near Sector-88 (B) in Gurugram and at Bharthal. The expressway will connect the proposed Global City in Gurugram district as well as Sector-88, 83, 84, 99, 113 with Dwarka Sector-21.
Apart from this, traffic will be regulated near the Transport Authority office, Sector-21 metro station to Pacific Mall Cut, Golf Course Road to Dhulasiras Chowk and Bamnoli and Bharthal Chowk to Dhulasiras Chowk and Chhawla Road. Motorists going towards railway stations, hospitals and ISBTs are advised to plan before commencing their journey.
