Delhi Weather Updates: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in Delhi, Issue Orange Alert

Weather Forecast Delhi: It has been raining incessantly in the national capital Delhi for the past few days. Several areas, including the IGI Airport, AIIMS, DND, Noida, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, were lashed by rains for some time. The temperatures have also dipped due to rains. Due to this, the weather of Delhi-NCR has become pleasant. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Delhi, while a yellow alert has been issued for Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram. According to meteorologists, people should read the weather update before leaving home and take necessary precautions.

Air Pollution is Poor

Air pollution in Delhi was recorded in the 'very poor' category on Friday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the PM 2.5 level in Anand Vihar area was recorded at 344 in the very poor category and the PM10 level reached 347. At the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport (T3), the PM 2.5 level was recorded at 225, which is considered poor, and the PM10 level was recorded at 219. The PM 2.5 level in Dwarka Sector 8 was observed at 338, which falls in the very poor category.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi during the last 24 hours was recorded at 29.9 degrees, which is three degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal. According to the IMD, there is a forecast of cloudy weather during the day time of Delhi till March 6. The weather will be clear on March 7. There is no possibility of further increase in the temperature in the coming days. At the IGI Airport (T3), the PM 2.5 level was recorded at 225, which is considered poor, and the PM10 level was recorded at 219. The PM 2.5 level in Dwarka Sector 8 was observed at 338, which falls in the very poor category.
