On Monday, there was relief from the cold from the sun during the day in northern UP, but there was again fog in the evening. Cold day conditions have been prevailing since Tuesday morning. Fog in the morning and clouds in the sky during the day forced people to stay in the cold throughout the day. It is expected to rain in some area of Uttar Pradesh.
Cold wave continues in western UP. There was a heavy rain on Monday morning. The rain that falls at night intensifies the cold. The afternoon sun brought some relief. Huge crowds gathered at the park. The temperature came down later in the evening. On Tuesday, the fog increased the cold again. In addition, there is no relief from the on-going cold for several days. As per report, weather experts are expecting rain in some area of UP.
The cold has increased since the beginning of January. The sun is hidden in clouds and dance fog going on in western Uttar Pradesh. The temperature on Monday was over 14 degrees. Most of the people start lighting of their vehicle due to dense fog in state.
Dr UP Shahi, a meteorologist at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University, says there will be no respite for two days yet. Rain is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will further increase the cold. Meerut's CPI fell from 262 to 167.
