Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament. In this interim budget, the Finance Minister has increased the allocation on major schemes. These include Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, Production Linked Incentive Scheme, Modified Programme for Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem, Solar Power and National Green Hydrogen Mission. Now it will be easier for people to get employment in the village. The government has increased the budget for MNREGA. The budget estimate of MGNREGA for FY 2023-24 was Rs 60,000 crores. This has been increased to Rs 86,000 crores for FY 2024-25.
The budget estimate for Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY in FY 2023-24 was Rs 7,200 crores. This has been increased to Rs 7,500 crores in FY 2024-25.
The Budget Estimate for Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) Schemes in FY 2023-24 was Rs. This has been increased to Rs 6,200 crores in FY 2024-25.
The allocation for the Modified Programme for Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem in FY 2023-24 was budgeted at Rs 3,000 crores. This has been increased to Rs 6,903 crore for 2-24-25.
The budget estimate for solar power (grid) in FY 2023-24 was Rs 4,970 crores. This has been increased to Rs 8,500 crores in FY 2024-25.
The budget estimate for National Green Hydrogen Mission in FY 2023-24 was Rs 297 crores. This has been increased to Rs 600 crores in FY 2024-25.
