BJP Loksabha Candidates List 2024: In the first list, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav has been given ticket from Rajya Sabha, Alwar Mansukh Mandaviya from Rajasthan from Gujarat's Porbandar and Rajeev Chandrasekhar from Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Deb have also been given tickets. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has been re-nominated from Kota.
BJP announced the names of more than one-third of the candidates even before the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first name in the first list of 195 candidates, who will be contesting for the third time from his old constituency Varanasi. Rajnath Singh will contest from Lucknow and Amit Shah from Gandhinagar.
Sanjeev Balyan has been given ticket from Muzaffarnagar. The other candidates are Mahesh Sharma from Noida, Hema Malini from Mathura, SP Singh Baghel from Agra, Dharmendra Kashyap from Aonla, Ajay Mishra from Kheri, Arun Sagar from Shahjahanpur, Rajesh Verma from Sitapur, Jai Prakash Rawat from Hardoi, Sakshi Maharaj from Unnao, Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Smriti Irani from Amethi, Mukesh Rajput from Farrukhabad, Subrat Pathak from Kannauj, Bhanu Pratap Verma from Jalaun, Anurag Sharma from Jhansi, RK Patel from Banda and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti from Fatehpur. Dinesh Lal Yadav has been fielded from Azamgarh, Mahendra Nath Pandey from Chandauli and Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur.
BJP Loksabha Candidates List 2024 MP: Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Deb have also been given tickets. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has been re-nominated from Kota. Usually, the BJP changes a large number of faces in its list of candidates. But this time the change in the list released so far is visible only in those states where a new equation of the opposition alliance has emerged or there is a huge anti-incumbency wave against the candidate.
BJP Loksabha Candidates List 2024: The BJP released its first list of 195 candidates for 16 states and 2 Union Territories. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi, Amit Shah from Gandhinagar and Rajnath Singh from Lucknow. The list also includes the names of 34 Union ministers. The list also includes the names of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and two former chief ministers. There are 28 women candidates in the first list. Along with this, the names of 47 candidates below the age of 50 have been announced.
In the first list, 51 candidates are from Uttar Pradesh, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, 15 from Gujarat, 15 from Rajasthan, 12 from Karnataka, 9 from Telangana, 11 from Assam, 11 from Jharkhand, 11 from Chhattisgarh, 5 from Delhi and 7 from West Bengal. The list includes 2 candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, 3 from Uttarakhand, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh, 1 from Goa, 1 from Tripura, 1 from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and 1 from Daman and Diu.
Giving details of the candidates finalised by the central election committee, BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde said the first list includes Lok Sabha seats from 16 states.
