Amit Sana is an Indian pop artist, playback singer, composer, live performer, and, of course, the finalist of Indian Idol Season 1. Hailing from Chhattisgarh, Amit Sana began his singing career at the tender age of 8 when he performed for Bhilai Steel Plant. Following that, he actively participated in local and state-level singing competitions. However, his formal singing journey started when he auditioned for Channel V’s singing show, Pop Star. Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the audition. Nevertheless, in 2004, he seized the opportunity to be a part of the iconic Indian Idol Season 1 and successfully cleared the audition round in Kolkata.
Throughout the show, he consistently received praise from the judges—Sonu Nigam, Farah Khan, and Anu Malik. However, after failing to secure the trophy, many of his fans claimed that the judges didn't want him to win. After Indian Idol Season 1, Amit sang for Anu Malik and consistently worked on his own music. However, after 2007, he seemed to have disappeared from the music industry. Following his marriage to Manisha Sana, he made a comeback with songs like Mahi Ve and Yaadein. After Indian Idol Season 1, Amit Sana released his first album, CHALDIYE, which was composed by VISHAL-SHEKHAR with Sony music in 2005. His second album named YAADEIN was released through Times Music in 2008. YAADEIN was composed by RAJIV BHATT.
