Maharaj Movie on Netflix: Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan has debut in Bollywood in Maharaj film. He plays the role of 'Maharaj' in the film. The film tells the story of Karsandas Mulji, a journalist and social reformer. The film was mired in controversies much before its release. There were allegations that the film could hurt the sentiments of the Vaishnav community. However, now the stay order has been lifted and Maharaj is now streaming on Netflix. Junaid Khan's performance in the film was much appreciated.
The film 'Maharaj', based on Gujarati writer Saurabh Shah's 2013 book, is about the historic 1862 defamation case that Jadunathji, a prominent Vaishnavite figure, filed against social reformer Karsandas Mulji. who wrote against sexual abuse by the Almighty Maharaja.
